Our Classes
Foundations
Build the base. Learn the method.
Classical Pilates rewards precision. Foundations is where that precision is built.
Designed for clients moving from private sessions into group work — or for those coming from a reformer-based studio who want to learn classical Pilates from the ground up — Foundations focuses on form, awareness, and the fundamentals that make everything else in the method possible.
You will work hard. You will also slow down enough to understand what each exercise is asking of your body, and why the transitions between exercises are as important as the movements themselves. That foundation is what separates clients who progress quickly from those who plateau.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• Clients completing their introductory private sessions at Calibrate
• Practitioners transitioning from contemporary or reformer-focused studios to the classical method
• Anyone who wants to build a precise, intelligent Pilates practice from the beginning
WHAT TO EXPECT
Full apparatus work across the reformer, tower, chair, and mat — sequenced to develop form before intensity.

The Method
Classical Pilates. All levels. Nothing left out.
This is Pilates as Joseph Pilates designed it — a full-apparatus session where the exercises and the transitions between them are equally part of the work.
In The Method, nothing is treated as a warm-up or filler. You move from one exercise to the next with intention, and the moments in between are where strength, control, and body awareness are truly developed. Class may incorporate the reformer, tower, Wunda chair, mat, and small apparatus — selected and sequenced by your instructor to meet the room on that day. Every level will find challenge here. Every session will feel complete.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• Experienced classical Pilates practitioners looking for a serious, all-apparatus group class near McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Melissa, or Prosper, TX
• Clients who have completed Foundations and are ready for the full classical repertoire
• Anyone seeking classical Pilates beyond the reformer-only format
WHAT TO EXPECT
A sequenced, flowing session on multiple apparatus. Exercises build on one another. Transitions are part of the session, not between it.

Mat & Tower
Where Pilates began. Where progress is undeniable.
Before the reformer, there was the mat. This is where Joseph Pilates developed his method, and it remains the most honest measure of where you are in your practice. Without springs to assist or support, every movement belongs entirely to you. Mat & Tower strips the work to its essentials — your body, your breath, and the tower for added resistance and range when the exercise calls for it. Progress here is visible and measurable in a way that apparatus work sometimes obscures. If you want to understand classical Pilates at its most fundamental level, this class belongs in your regular rotation.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• Practitioners at any level who want to deepen their mat practice
• Clients seeking a classical Pilates mat class in McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Melissa, or Prosper, TX
• Anyone curious about classical Pilates who wants to experience the method in its original form
WHAT TO EXPECT
A pure mat and tower session following the classical repertoire. No reformer. No shortcuts. All levels welcome — no prior Calibrate session required for this format.
Jump Board
Higher intensity. Zero impact. All Pilates.
This is not a jumping class that happens to include Pilates. It is a Pilates class that uses the jump board to raise the intensity. Class is structured in blocks: classical mat work to establish the powerhouse, alternating jump board sequences on the reformer, and upper body work in between. Exercises like Flying Splits and Lunges round out the session — challenging, dynamic, and genuinely fun. Every jump originates from the powerhouse. That is not a cue — it is the entry requirement. Clients who cannot yet sustain deep powerhouse engagement through dynamic movement are not ready for Jump Board, and that standard exists to protect the practice and the body.
For clients managing osteopenia or joint sensitivity, it offers something rare: a genuine cardiovascular challenge your body can sustain. For athletes, the footwork precision and leg power translate directly to the court, course, and field.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• Clients seeking low-impact cardiovascular conditioning that still builds real strength
• Practitioners with joint sensitivity, osteopenia, or a preference for non-running cardio
• Athletes looking to develop leg power, footwork precision, and explosive control
• Anyone ready to take their classical Pilates practice to a higher intensity
WHAT TO EXPECT
A structured class alternating classical mat work, jump board blocks on the reformer, and upper body sequences. Higher intensity than a standard group class — entirely Pilates in method.

Instructor authorization required before your first Jump Board class. Your instructor will flag your account in our scheduling system when you are ready. Once approved, you may self-schedule directly.
Advanced
The method at its fullest expression.
Snake & Twist on the reformer. Boomerang on the mat. Side Pull-up and Mountain Climber on the Wunda chair. Kneeling Rolling In and Out on the tower.
If you recognize those exercises, you know what this class demands — and you know what it takes to be ready for it.
Advanced at Calibrate is not a harder version of The Method. It is a different level of the work entirely, requiring the foundational strength, joint stability, body control, and classical Pilates experience that makes these exercises safe and worth doing. Instructor sign-off is required — not as a barrier, but because the work itself demands a level of preparation that protects both the practice and the people in the room.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• Experienced classical Pilates practitioners with a strong full-apparatus background
• Clients who have been cleared by a Calibrate instructor for advanced repertoire
• Serious practitioners relocating to McKinney, TX who trained at a classical studio
WHAT TO EXPECT
A full advanced repertoire session. Every exercise is sequenced with intention. The transitions are as demanding as the exercises themselves.

Private Sessions
Your practice, built one-on-one.
Every client at Calibrate begins here. A private session is where your instructor assesses your alignment, strength, mobility, and movement patterns, then builds a practice specifically for your body — not a generic starting point borrowed from someone else’s.
Private sessions aren’t only for beginners. Clients at any level use them to work through an injury, refine a specific exercise, get individualized attention a group setting can’t offer, or progress through the method faster.
WHO THIS CLASS IS FOR
• New clients beginning their classical Pilates journey at Calibrate
• Clients recovering from injury or managing a physical limitation that needs individualized attention
• Clients who want to progress more quickly through the method
• Practitioners at any level who want focused, one-on-one refinement of their practice
WHAT TO EXPECT
A fully personalized session built entirely around your goals — drawing from the complete classical apparatus as your practice calls for it. Your instructor may work you on the Reformer, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Wunda Chair, or mat, and bring in specialty pieces like the Spine Corrector or Foot Corrector to target exactly what your body needs that day.
